Welcome

My watercolours and etchings are primarily about form, texture and colour. I am excited by the things nature presents us with, whether it is landscapes, wildlife, trees, flowers or plants. All of these topics inspire me to paint or etch. I am equally stimulated by old buildings, which may have aged or been stressed by time and weather, such as old stone barns or ancient French and Italian houses with stressed walls of stone or stucco.

My travels provide me with the subject matter for these etchings and paintings and, so far, Europe with its wide variety of old towns and buildings continues to provide me with ideas. Its landscapes equally provide me with similar inspiration whether it is the Tuscan hills and Cypress trees or Cornish coasts.
